Casey Family Programs-Indian Child Welfare Programs and the National American Indian Court Judges Association (NAICJA) cordially invite you to participate in the 2017 New York Tribal-State Indian Child Welfare Judicial Roundtable. The purpose of the Roundtable is to improve dialog between tribal and state courts and promote better outcomes for American Indian and Alaska Native children. We seek to improve ICWA compliance and promote cross-jurisdictional communication.

This year’s Roundtable will be held in coordination with the New York Federal-State-Tribal Courts and Indian Nations Justice Forum’s April Meeting.

In addition to receiving information about national and state ICWA developments, participants will be able to discuss cross-jurisdictional challenges and exchange ideas about improving Indian child welfare case outcomes. This roundtable is an opportunity to solidify a shared commitment to work together to ensure the preservation of Indian tribes’ most precious resource—their children.

Please register today for the event or designate another judge, Tribal Leader, representative to attend so that your court and/or tribe is an involved and contributing participant. We hope to see you in April!
